Simone Vroegop has joined BNY Mellon as EMEA head of investment managers, based in London. She replaces Mark Moor, who is retiring. Vroegop reports to Irene Speridakos, global head of investment managers. She was previously at BBH, where she led strategy for the investor services business, and also spent nearly 15 years at State Street.

ONE Group Solutions, the Luxembourg-based fund solutions provider, has established a presence in the U.S Rafael Perez has been appointed as business development lead – Americas, based in New York. In addition, Melanie Hopper, ONE’s group general counsel, has relocated to the U.S.

Oak Group, the C.I.-based administrator, has appointed Kim Sgarlata as group CEO. She previously held the positions of global head of strategic programme development and global head of wholesale transformation at HSBC. She has also worked at Capco, Accenture, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and State Street.

TMF Group, the Netherlands-based provider of compliance and administrative services, has appointed Joel Cardenas as head of business development for Latin America, and Ard Crebas as head of business development for North America and the Caribbean. They will both report to TMF’s chief commercial officer, Jan Willem van Drimmelen. Both are internal appointments.

Komainu, the C.I.-based digital assets custodian, has appointed Robert Johnson as chief technology officer, based in London. He joins from Coremont, where he was CTO and partner. Komainu, which is backed in part by Nomura, recently received approval from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority to register as a custodian wallet provider.
