Pat Lardner is to step down as chief executive of Irish Funds, the Irish trade association for the funds industry. Lardner has been chief executive since 2012 and has overseen the growth of Ireland’s share of the European fund market from 13pct to >22pct.

Prescient Fund Services has appointed Nicola Gerety as Ireland country head. She replaces Emily Davy, who will continue to serve on the boards of Prescient Fund Services Ireland and its fund platforms. Gerety was previously at Northern Trust.

Euroclear has appointed Usman Ahmad to lead Euroclear’s digital assets strategy, based in the UK. He most recently served as co-founding CEO of Zodia Markets, the institutional digital asset brokerage.

Trident Trust has appointed Rafael Pérez as head of business development for fund services in the U.S., based in New York. He most recently led the Americas business development function at ONE Group Solutions.
CACEIS appoints Lux country head
CACEIS has appointed Ramy El Houayek as country managing director in Luxembourg. He joined CACEIS in 2007 and was most recently global head of operations, fund services. He replaces Philippe Bourgues, who has been appointed global head of PERES operations and joins the ExCo of CACEIS.
