Equity Trustees, the Australia-based administrator, has been appointed responsible entity for two exchange-traded Sharia-compliant funds spanning equity and property. They are believed to be the first Sharia-compliant ETFs on the ASX. The ETFs are listed versions of two managed funds launched earlier this year by Australian-based investment manager, Hejaz Asset Management.
