BNPP consolidates client activities
BNP Paribas’ securities services business has consolidated its global client development and territory management divisions under Alessandro Gioffreda. Additionally, Alvaro Camuñas has been appointed as vice chairman of securities services, effective immediately. Camuñas will maintain his sponsorship of a number of strategic clients.
BNY hires Zita
BNY has hired Tom Zita as senior director, alternatives client coverage. He reports to Dylan Curley, client coverage global head of alternatives for the asset servicing business. Zita was previously at Northern Trust.
Rothschild moves…again
Aztec Group has appointed Marcia Rothschild as European desk head within its U.S. commercial team. She joins Aztec from FundBank, where she was senior managing director, head of business development and client relations. Previously, she spent four years at State Street as head of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Arysteq expands with Apex
Arysteq Asset Management, Namibia’s leading and wholly Namibian-owned investment manager, has expanded its long-term partnership with Apex Group by adopting Apex’s open-ended fund administration and transfer agency services.
ZILO raises USD27m
ZILO, the UK-based fintech specialising in asset and wealth management software, has raised USD27m in a Series A2 funding round. Portage led the round, joined by State Street, both existing shareholders, and management.
Waystone poaches Ryan from BNPP
Waystone, the European provider of fund administration services, has appointed Diarmuid Ryan as global head of administration solutions. He was previously global head of alternatives, liquid alternatives and hedge fund services at BNP Paribas.
Cooper leaves Northern Trust
After just over two years at Northern Trust, Duncan Cooper has left to run his own business. He was chief data officer at Northern Trust, and has also worked at BNY and HSBC. He is based in the UK.
Boothbay appoints SS&C GlobeOp
Boothbay Fund Management, a multi-strategy alternative investment advisor, has selected SS&C GlobeOp as its fund administrator. Boothbay’s multi-manager platform has >USD2.5bn AuM across >140 separately managed accounts.
Aztec hires head of product
Aztec Group has appointed Sam Metland as its new head of product and propositions. He joins from Citco, where he held roles including head of private equity product and, most recently, head of solutions engineering. Prior to this, he held senior product and strategy roles at J.P. Morgan and Brown Brothers Harriman.
