Universal Investment Group has appointed Antonio Soler as chief commercial officer. Soler will join the UI Group’s management board, reporting to Francesca McDonagh, group CEO. He will lead the group’s commercial strategy, overseeing all activities across sales, relationship management, fund distribution, marketing & external communications, and sales enablement. He joins from Vistra, where he most recently served as global head of the corporate business unit.
Separately, UI has appointed Frank Becker as head of relationship management for asset owners and asset managers in the DACH region. Becker will report to Antonio Soler and will be responsible for strategic management and development of relationships with all existing clients across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. He joins from MEAG MUNICH ERGO KAG mbH, the capital investment company of the Munich Re Group, where he was most recently managing director and a member of the board of management.
